Uganda 2011.

My first trip to Uganda was for my Master’s fieldwork. I lived in Mbarara for 6 months, volunteered as a nursing assistant for infants in the main HIV clinic, ate a lot of matoke, and learnt a lot about global health research and development work. Living alone had its ups and downs but my first trip to Uganda inspired me, and helped me grow.

There are a lot of photographs in this post, bear with me.
